How to write your marketing plan in under one hour

Your marketing plan in less than 60 minutes

If you want to develop your marketing plan in a less than 60 minutes then simply answer these quick questions spending no more than two minutes on each answer. You will still have time to review your plan and print it out before the hour is up!

  • What are you trying to accomplish?
    • your vision for the future and personal goals.
  • What do you do for your customers to solve their problem?
    • the pain are you solving, or gain are you achieving for your customers.
  • What are your key sales and marketing objectives?
    • the enquiries you will generate and numbers you will achieve.
  • What is your current situation?
    • the products and promotions you currently have.
  • What is your target market/niche?
    • the characteristics of your ideal customer.
  • What are the 3 key strengths and 3 key weaknesses of your top 3 competitors?
    • the things others are doing your can learn from.
  • What is your positioning in the marketplace?
    • lowest price, best service, highest quality.
  • How are you different from your competitors?
    • the way you stand out from others.
  • What is the big idea behind your brand?
    • the idea you are selling.
  • What is your proposition?
    • the key aspect of value you deliver for your customers.
  • What are your products/services?
    • their features, advantages and benefits.
  • What prices will you charge?
    • the basis for your pricing.
  • Where will you sell your products/services?
    • the places your customers frequent.
  • What promotions will you run?
    • the promotional techniques you will employ for generating awareness, interest and enquiries.
  • What is your inbound internet marketing plan?
    • the techniques, web, SEO, content, social media you will employ.
  • Which networking will you do?
    • the face to face or online networking you will do.
  • What events will you attend or speak at?
    • the events/exhibitions/speaking opportunities you will attend.
  • What marketing collateral will your produce?
    • business cards, postcards, brochures, leaflets.
  • What is your referral marketing system?
    • how you will generate word of mouth referrals.
  • What are your key actions?
    • the top five marketing actions you will focus on to achieve your plan.
  • How will you measure results and feedback?
    • the ways you will measure your results and return on investment.
